Christopher Proudfoot, a 28 year old man from Scotland, has embezzled 936k pounds ($1.3 Million USD) from his place of employment.
How could he do this? Proudfoot was the accountant of the company "Highland Network" and took care of all their finances. He could face a sentence of 4-6 years in prison. In a similar case in Scotland, a woman went to jail for 5 years for stealing £833,709 as a cashier.
Proudfoot lost the £936,452.32 over a three year period playing on the online pokerroom William Hill. Don't follow his footsteps, get a Free Poker bankroll instead.
Eventually his Company of 25 employees found out, how could they not notice $1.3 million missing. The firm fired him and Proudfoot went into hiding but was quickly found by the police.
Proudfoot has admitted to stealing the money and is currently out on bail.
Note: That is not Christopher Proudfoot in the pictures. It is "Fat Bastard" from the movie Austion Powers:)
